Introduction- Our commitment to privacy

Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant respects each individual’s right to personal
privacy. We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to
us online in ways unrelated to the ones described below without also providing
you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Part I. Information Collection

Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant collects information through our Web site at
several points. We collect the following information about primary visitors such as
name and address information.

We may also collect contact information that our users divulge about other
people, for the use of referrals. Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant does not actively
market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge
personal information.

We collect the following general data that is not personally identifiable
information pertaining to site traffic. We collect this information through click
stream tracking and automatic logging files. This general information is collected
automatically and is not connected to specific user data.

We may employ the use of cookies. A cookie is a small text file that our Web
server places on a user’s computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. Cookies
enable Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant to track usage patterns and deliver
customized content to users. Our cookies usually have an expiration date. Our
cookies do not collect personally identifiable information.

Part II. Information Usage

The information collected by Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant will be used for
internal use. Users who provide information may receive email announcements
or updates concerning our products or services.

Registered users may receive additional announcements from us about products,
services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our
users we present the option to not receive these types of communications by
contacting us directly.

The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on
browsing or purchasing history. We will not supplement information collected at
our Web site with data from other sources such as credit history to authorize

We will share data with our transaction gateway only for the purposes of
authorizing your purchase. We may have links to other sites from ours. Please
note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their
privacy policies. Their standards may differ from ours.

Part III. Data Storage and Security

Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant protects user information using secure servers,
firewalls and SSL encryption to protect consumer privacy. General order
information such as contact data is saved securely in our database. For your
privacy and protection only the last four digits of your credit card and your
expiration date are stored in our servers. Your credit card number is only
securely passed on to the transaction gateway to process your order.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this
privacy statement, the home page, and other places we deem appropriate so that
you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what
circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please
review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you
here, by email, or by means of a notice on our home page.

Terms and Conditions


You can pay for your item by credit card or debit card. We currently accept VISA
and MasterCard. Payment authorization must be approved before we can deliver
your order. Payment is received in US Dollars only.


All purchases take will take 1-5 business days to send. Items will be delivered
via the delivery method chosen at the time of purchase. If for some reason an
item is not available, we will contact you directly to make arrangements for future
delivery or provide you the option to receive a refund on the item.


If for any reason you are not totally satisfied with our product or service, we will
promptly refund your money. To obtain a refund simply email us or write us to the
information below. Please describe your situation, include your name and order
number or transaction id.

Dearest Guests,

If you were not at Naniboujou Lodge in early March, you really missed an spectacle of a lifetime. Due to my lasting legacy of being a prankster, I was determined to outdo any of my former tricks. Thus boldly, as the guests were checking out for our final winter weekend, I performed an unheralded act. I had a volunteer bet me that I could not make them disappear. Did I pull it off? Well yeah – in fact I outdid myself as I made everyone disappear! I hope my guinea pig is impressed! The problem is that I never learned the art of making them reappear.

So goes the strangest days that I’ve many times wished for but never thought possible; to have the world stop. And the fact that it has halted is one thing, but not knowing when it will start up again is another thing! Potential staff, which we were determined to get ahead with this year are all left suspending in mid-air. Mother’s were left with, well their Hallmark Cards wishing them Happy Mother’s Day to the best mom in the world, but they exclaimed dejectedly, “Where’s the meat?” Or the waffles, breaded pudding and coffee cake for that matter!

Naniboujou’s front doors remain bolted. Opening day has come and gone with no unlocking in sight. For us to operate realistically, we have determined that we cannot open before August 1st and we’ll see if that is even practical. Thus, we will be sending cancellation notices to everyone booked through July. We apologize for any inconvenience or for blowing up your plans but we just can’t be Naniboujou and go through the regulations we would be forced to adhere to. We are about relationships and closeness while maintaining cleanliness and sanitary servings. Distancing and not be allowed to extend a personal touch, literally, is just not us.

That being said, we will be opening up two of cottages for rent this year. They are not part of Naniboujou Lodge but are near our house on the Lake. One will be available on June 1st and the other will be later. Details are not yet available but they will probably offered via Airbnb. However, information will be given on Naniboujou’s website, because of the legalities, we cannot, at this time allow anyone in the lodge lest we clean it after each viewing.

To tell anyone that they are not welcome is not possibly how we could ever operate. We had a taste of that last year when our staffing situation only afforded us to serve the in-house guests. It just isn’t what hospitality is about.

We miss you all.  We are so sorry for all of the ramifications that each of you had to go through and continue to bushwhack through. Hope we can get together soon!
