Frequently Asked Questions
Our Winter Weekend Getaway Packages are available every weekend in February and the first two weekends of March.
We only take reservations by phone. Please call our Front Desk at 218.387.2688.
We have a two week cancellation policy. You may cancel your reservation free of charge up until two weeks before your arrival date. If you cancel within two weeks of your reservation, you will be charged half the rate of your room. If you cancel the day you are reserved to stay, you will be charged full price.
We have a two-night minimum for any reservation that includes a Friday or Saturday.
- Check-in is anytime after 3:00 PM.
- Check-out is by 10:30 AM.
Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant is a media free facility, which means we do not have WiFi, TV’s, Phones or Radios. We do have a courtesy phone in the lobby if you need to make a phone call.
Like most places on the north shore, we do not have air conditioning because it is cooler by Lake Superior. However, we do have fans in every guest room.
Sorry, we do not allow pets in the lodge or on the grounds/beach. However, there is a local boarding kennel approximately 5 minutes away from the lodge that may have availability. Contact Josiah directly at 218.387.3568. For more information on our pet policy, please click here.
During our winter season, all packages include food. Breakfast is served Saturday and Sunday at 8:30am, Dinner on Friday and Saturday is served at 6pm.

We are currently taking reservations through the fall of 2022.
Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant is located 15 minutes past Grand Marais on the lake side of Highway 61 across from the Judge Magney State Park.
- From Duluth: Take MN Hwy 61 North about 2 1/2 hours. The lodge is 15 miles past Grand Marais.
- From Thunder Bay: Take Highway 61 South about 1 1/2 hours. The lodge is 26 miles (42 km) from the Canadian border.
