History

Asked about the origin of the conference, Tim Ramey (owner of Naniboujou Lodge) responds:
“The conference’s origin?  The past is a bit hazy. It just seems like Jim (Raymo) and I talked about having a conference up here as we, Nancy and I, had felt that since we ended up with the lodge rather than on  the mission field that He probably wanted us to use the lodge for such a purpose so we just did it. I don’t know what else to say, I wish it was more exciting than that!!!”

The conference features a strong missions theme with added emphasis on spiritual growth.

Speakers from recent conferences have included: George Verwer, Helen Roseveare, David Michell, Dean Sherman, Patrick Johnstone and Evan Davies. Attendees have included those in missions work from around the world and individuals with missions interest from Grand Marais, Thunder Bay, the State of Minnesota and beyond.
