Questions and Policies
  • hours:
  • Summer 7:30am to 9:30pm. [everyday]
    Winter 9am to 4pm [Monday-Friday] (phone only)
    Friday-Sunday 9am to 9pm

  • Deposit:
  • With your reservation we request a deposit of half of the total amount of your stay, or a MasterCard, Visa, or Discover credit card may be used to secure the reservation.

  • Cancellation Policy:
  • Two weeks prior to your arrival date -- no charge.
    Within two weeks or early departure 50%.

    If canceled day of reservation or there is a no-show, party will be charged 100%

    Winter policy:
    if reservation canceled within one month a charge of $25 per room per night

  • Pet Policy:
  • Sorry, we do not allow any pets inside Naniboujou [including guest rooms]

  • Smoking:
  • Naniboujou is a non-smoking facility. (no smoking in rooms/dining hall)

  • Check-In time is 2pm, Check-out time is 10:30am

  • Dinner reservations
  • We only take dinner reservations for parties of 5 or more. If it is a large group (15 or more) we ask that you please call one week in advance. To make a reservation please call the front desk at 218.387.2688 [Group meals will be coordinated with our chef]

  • Naniboujou is fifteen miles East of Grand Marais, off of Highway 61

  • Canadian border is 26 miles East of Naniboujou


  • Judge C.R. Magney State Park is is right across the highway (Hwy 61) from Naniboujou (devil's kettle is 1 1/2 mile up)

  • The Brule River runs right along Naniboujou (a great swimming/fishing river)
